I expect to see additional stability in our jobs and housing market as well as a slight increase in homes sales compared to 2011. If Fort Smith is anything other than a great place to live and raise a family in my opinion it is a relatively stable place somewhat sheltered form the Mad swings experienced on the coasts. According to the Kiplinger report in 2010, Fort Smith's cost-of-living index, or COLI, is 85.2, well below the ACCRA composite score of 100, which represents an average cost of living among the 300-plus cities surveyed each quarter. In 2010 Fort Smith was ranked #1 for lowest cost of living in the Nation!!!! Fort Smiths COLI for 2011 is 80.7 with the National average at 100. Fort Smith home sales are expected to rise, or cost of living has decreased from 2010 to 2011 and we have JOBS coming in! What a great time buy or sell a home in Fort Smith.
