Recent data suggests the Real Estate market in our area is on the upswing.  Buyers are surfacing, continuing to look for that “great” investment and Sellers are adjusting their sales prices to adhere to current market conditions.   Purchasing a home is  a good investment opportunity for most people.  If you don’t own, you are buying someone else’s property for them.   The owners reap all the tax benefits and equity  while you pay them to live in their property.  Goo

The Russian mob in Romania is being blamed for stealing credit card numbers from a Fort Smith restaurant and leaving nearly 175 of their customers scrambling to protect themselves.

Existing home sales are on the rise.  Buyers are seeing the value of a previously owned home versus new construction.  While home prices have continued to drop, the cost to build new construction has NOT dropped but has increased causing the cost of a new home to be higher for less livable space.

According to our local paper, they anticipate sales will pick up in 2011.  Assurance Realty is looking forward to seeing more buyers and happier sellers SOON!

Sebastian County did much better than the remainder of the state in 2010!  Yea for us!  Mortgage interest rates remain below 5% - can you believe that!  I remember 19% and paying even more than that for a house purchased in early 1980's. 

Good news!!!  Sykes is coming to Fort Smith and will employ up to 600 people.  This just off the press.  They will locate in Phoenix Village on Towson Avenue.  That is more good news, especially since Assurance Realty invested heavily in their new "state of the art" Real Estate building on Towson Avenue.
